We are an established church with deep roots in the Cornwall community and SDG region. Since 1882 we have maintained an encouraging presence season after season. We are committed to reaching and growing people in understanding all that God has for them: a new and vibrant life in Jesus Christ together seen in our times of worship, fellowship together, learning together and then reaching out into our city.
FBC Cornwall Inc. is a member church in the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada, a fellowship of over 520 churches from coast to coast.
Worship at FBC
The worship ministry at FBC exists to love and lead others into the fullness of God’s presence as we come together in unity, lifting high the name of Jesus Christ.
As musicians and leaders, we strive to provide an appropriate God-focussed worship atmosphere. We are created to sing, commanded to sing and compelled to sing (Sing, by Keith and Kristyn Getty, 2017)
Worship isn’t primarily about the song selection, performances or musicianship. It’s about our hearts. It’s about who we love more than anything (Bob Kauflin; Worship Matters).
We have an energetic team of musicians and vocalists including a Men’s Trio and a Ladies Trio.
A certain level of ability is usually necessary to be part of the Worship Music Ministry. If you are interested in participating on either a worship team or the sound/projection/Live-Stream operators, please contact Renée at renncyr@gmail.com to start the application process. We assume you are already participating in the life of FBC.
